Getting Here
Here’s how you can get to Holbox:
By land
You can do it by car, shuttle or buses (departing from Cancun, Playa del Carmen and Tulum); and it is necessary to travel by road to the port of Chiquilá, which is where the ferries that take to Holbox leave.
* If you take a car, in Chiquilá you will find public parking to leave.
By water
There are two ferry companies that, in 30-minute intervals, offer the service. The first crossing from Chiquilá is at 6:00 a.m., and the last one returns from Holbox at 9:30 p.m.
By air
A more sophisticated option is to arrive by plane. You can hire private flights to Holbox from Isla Mujeres, Cancun, Cozumel and Playa del Carmen.
