This city has six golf courses that have been laid out by famous designers, such as Jack Nicklaus, Isao Aoki and Greg Norman, among others. There is nothing better to end your game day than pampering your palate with the culinary experience of Cancun, which is distinguished by its excellence and wide variety. In front of the Nichupté Lagoon, in the hotel zone, you will find numerous restaurants that serve haute cuisine dishes that are complemented by beautiful sunsets and a cheerful atmosphere, between mariachis, sparklers and DJs.

Golf courses in the Riviera Maya

To the south of Cancun is the Riviera Maya, a unique region made up of Puerto Morelos, Playa del Carmen and Tulum, three destinations that have attractions for all tastes: adventure, nature, wellness, gastronomy, culture and history.

In addition to its beaches, the Riviera Maya is home to several natural wonders — lagoons, underground rivers, caverns, the exuberant Mayan jungle and more than 2,500 cenotes—paradisiacal settings in which it is possible to perform all kinds of aquatic and adventure activities, such as driving off-road vehicles, zip-line circuits, diving, snorkeling, among others.

In addition to the above, the Riviera Maya has become a golf capital with its seven different courses with dynamic designs: The Nicklaus Design Course at Vidanta Riviera Maya, Iberostar Playa Paraíso Golf Club, Gran Coyote Golf, El Camaleón Mayakoba, Hard Rock Golf Club Riviera Maya, PGA Riviera Maya by Bahía Príncipe Golf and Puerto Aventuras Golf & Raquet Club; some of them listed among the best in Mexico and even in the world, as is the case of the PGA Riviera Maya by Bahía Príncipe Golf, created by Robert Trent Jones II, with 18 holes, Par 72. It should be noted that this course is an official partner of the PGA of America, being the first association with PGA in Latin America to support the development of golfers and tourism experiences.

Another of the temples of golf in Quintana Roo is undoubtedly El Camaleón Mayakoba, the venue for the World Wide Technology Championship at Mayakoba, a tournament that made history on the PGA Tour for being the first event to be played outside the United States. Hole 7 is the emblem for being unique in its class, as it hides a spectacular cenote in the middle of the fairway.
